Gupta was speaking at an AAP meeting in Vasco on Sunday evening.
Speaking on the victory of Delhi assembly election, Gupta said the win did not come easily as hundreds of volunteers from India and overseas had to work tirelessly for the success of the party.
“Our party is a platform for a change and there was a ray of hope that if AAP was elected to power in the national capital, people would get relief from corruption of the last 60 years,” said Gupta.
Gupta said unlike other parties, AAP takes up developmental issues in consultation with the people, thus implementing governance as per the wishes of the people.
Gupta informed that he had a meeting with the stakeholders in tourism sector who brought to his notice that the government does not take them into confidence before undertaking any tourism developmental projects in the State. Speaking on Investment Promotion Board, Gupta said the AAP condemns the total powers given to the Board to decide and implement decisions, irrespective of the objections of the people.
Fr Michael Fernandes said whether it was BJP or Congress, both the parties are for the rich and the mighty. “It’s time to put an end to the capitalist system created by these parties,” he said and urged the people to vote for AAP for complete swaraj. Goa state AAP secretary Valmiki Naik, Olencio Simoes, C Vast Rizvi and Liby Mendonca also spoke on the occasion. AAP convenor Rajashree Nagarsekar and AAP leader Dinesh Vagela were also present.
