11 arrested for brawl in Vasco

Eleven persons were arrested in connection with a brawl at three locations in Vasco on Sunday night.

According to reports, the group engaged in a fistfight, causing a public disturbance and breach of peace at three locations, near Ali Scrapyard in Baina, at Baina Beach, and near the Mormugao Police Station, at about 8.45 pm.

Several of the individuals involved sustained injuries during the scuffle.

The accused involved in the altercation are Joshua Rajesh Passi, Mainuddin Irfan Shaikh, Vishnu Anil Kumar Gaud, Yeshu Harijan, Ajay Jallem Chavan, Sameer Shaikh, Kutbuddin Shaikh, Anish Yadav, Manoj Yadav and Basant Gauda Biradar, all from Vasco and Ratan Singh of Dabolim.

All accused have been arrested on Monday under sections 194(2) BNS and the case is further being investigated by Mormugao PSI Suraj Naik.
