Dabolim Airport Director George Varghese informed that two commercial flights had been cancelled at Dabolim airport on Wednesday.
“Flights to Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Hindon operate from Dabolim Airport, and two commercial flights have already been cancelled. We are monitoring the situation and are prepared for any developments,” Varghese said.
Noting that similar mock drills are conducted regularly at Dabolim airport, Varghese said: “We had a comparable exercise two weeks ago. Today’s mock drill focused on evacuation and rescue with the help of the state administration and CISF. Around 22 airports close to the nodal region have been closed down.”
