2 more Covid deaths, 65 new cases

Two Covid-related deaths were recorded in the mortality bulletin of the Health Department on Sunday taking the total Covid victim count in Goa to 741.

The deceased include a 75-year-old man from Mapusa and a 59-year-old man from Velim, both of whom expired at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim. 

The Health Department also detected 65 new cases of the infection from among the 1,322 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This has pushed the total confirmed cases in the State to 51,295 of which 901 are currently active while 49,653 have recovered. The recovery rate stands at 96.80 per cent.
