4 injured in road mishap at Guirim

MAPUSA: Four riders were injured in a road mishap involving three two-wheelers on the service road near Green Park Junction in Guirim on Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, the mishap took place at about around 1.30 pm when Datta Rawale (36) of Mayem and Rajesh Naik (31), both from Mayem, were returning home from Baga via Guirim on a motorcycle and scooter. Both of them work at Baga.

As they crossed the Green Park Junction, a motorcycle struck both two-wheelers from the rear.

As a result, the motorcycle rider Ramesh Dhupadale (38) of Bastora and Sunny Sanjay Dhupadale (29) of Pedem-Mapusa both fell on the road and were seriously injured.

Ramesh is undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital, while Sunny is admitted at the District Hospital at Mapusa. Dutta and Rajesh were discharged after medical treatment.
