Sanguem
A total of 43 candidates are in the fray for the ensuing municipal elections in Sanguem.
With the post of Chairperson at Sanguem Municipal Council being reserved for women a large number of women candidates are seen contesting the forthcoming municipal elections in Sanguem.
Of the total 43 candidates, 19 are women. Incidentally, a large number of new faces have also filed their nomination forms from the 10 wards of Sanguem Municipal Council besides the three former chairpersons Romualdo Fernandes, Sanjay Raikar and Queiroz Cruz and former councillors Shaikh Fouziya, Rosa Maria Fernandes and Sandesh Kossambe.
Those in the fray for the ten wards include Ward No 1 (OBC): Dcosta Antoneta, Fernandes Jervis and Fernandes Romualdo Judas Agnelo; Ward No 2 (General): Da Costa Messiah Saude, Dcosta Schubert Francisco Xavier, Fernandes Rosa Maria, Kossambe Sandesh Narayan and Naik Dntaneshwar Shantaram; Ward No 3 (SC Women): Gaonkar Santiksha Santosh, Morajkar Priya Paik and Wadkar Rima Rupesh; Ward No 4 (General): Cruz Pedro, Fernandes Michael Avelino, Gaonkar Gourisha, Pereira John Gabriel Luis, Said Absafir and Sayed Ikbal; Ward No 5 (Women): Desouza Mebal, Nadkarni Rupal Suraj, Naik Prashali Bomi, Naik Pritee Prasad and Naik Tari Kimaya Kalpita; Ward No 6 (General): Shaikh Adnan Abdul, Shaikh Fouziya and Xete Raicar Sanjaia Crisna; Ward No 7 ( General): Cruz Queiroz Roque, Fernandes Milagres, Lima Piedade, Mascarenhas Carmino, Mascarenhas Constancio and Naik Jeetendra; Ward No 8 (OBC): Fernandes Cintia, Naik Gayatri Gokuldas and Naik Sangamweshwar Pandu; Ward No 9 (OBC Women): Naik Sanchuta Suresh, Naik Tari Sweta Suraj and Sangekar Kamaxi Dattaprasad and Ward No 10(ST Women): Bandolkar Beena Bomi, Gaonkar Archana Ankush, Gaonkar Neeta Sattawan, Gaonkar Vaishali Vithal, Naik Savita and Tari Sharda Mayur.
