A 55-year-old man from Dabolim was killed in a train accident at Dabolim on Wednesday morning.The deceased, identified as Prakash Lamani, had been reportedly missing since the last three days.
Shobha Chauhan, daughter of the deceased, said he had some mental issues and was also an alcoholic.
"We could not find him for the last three days and yesterday, someone said he was lying along the road near Vishal Mega Mart and we rushed there but could not find him. We searched all places and even hospitals to see if he was admitted anywhere and we even filed a complaint at the Vasco police station. He has been mentally ill in the last few days," said Chauhan.
Meanwhile, Police Inspector Amarnath Passi said they had got information from Vasco police about a body on the railway tracks at Dabolim in a case of train accident.
"We rushed to the spot and we have seen that the deceased had suffered multiple injuries. We are carrying out further investigation," said PI Passi.
