6-yr-old boy dies in Zuarinagar road mishap

In a tragic incident, a 6-year-old child from Zorint was killed after being hit by a speeding car near BITS Pilani, Zuarinagar on Wednesday evening.

Sources in Verna Police said the mishap took place as Kundan Rathod was crossing the road near BITS Pilani towards a residential area of Zorint.

"A car driven by Kapil Betgiri (42) was moving towards Dabolim side, when the vehicle struck child as he was crossing the road thereby causing him grievous injuries. The child was shifted to the Chicalim SDH but was declared brought dead," said the source.

Verna police has registered an offence under Section 27, 304 (A) of IPC and PSI Utkrant Desai is carrying out further investigation.
