The Margao police has registered a case of molestation against a 77-year old doctor having a clinic in Margao city.
Margao police station in-charge, PI Tulsidas Naik informed that the police has registered the case after a 25-year old girl, hailing from a coastal village in Salcete, has lodged a complaint, alleging that the doctor has molested her by touching her chest while she had gone to the clinic.
The incident had occurred at around 9.30 pm on August 16 when the girl had gone to the doctor since she was suffering from fever. “According to the girl’s complaint, when she reached the clinic there were three other patients waiting to see the doctor before her. She was the last patient to be examined by the doctor when the alleged molestation took place,” PI Tulsidas said.
He pointed out that the police have immediately acted on the complaint lodged by the girl on Friday evening and had referred the victim girl for medical treatment.
