An 80-year old man from Varca Trinidade Martins was found murdered at his residence on Thursday.
Colva station in charge PI Melson Colaco informed the deceased was done to death with an iron rod and that he was staying alone in the house.
PI Melson also informed that the neighbours had seen the deceased on Wednesday evening, adding the police is investigating whether the deceased was murdered last night or on Thursday.
SDPO Margao DySP Sandesh Chidankar, said the death of the elderly man is a clear case of murder.
