90% decline land fraud cases since SIT’s formation: CM

PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday claimed that there was a 90 percent decline in land grab cases after the government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the matter. “There was a time when anyone would grab and sell anyone’s properties. But after SIT, it has decline by 90 percent,” he said while urging the Goan diaspora to “coordinate” with the government to completely eliminate the fraud.
