Abandoned two-wheelers have congested the Margao railway station parking lot, with no action initiated to tow away the vehicles till date.
Konkan Railway officials informed that though the Railway Protection Force have identified a number of abandoned two-wheelers at the station premises, the local authorities have failed to take the exercise to its logical conclusion.
KRC senior official Baban Ghatge informed that the RPF has identified a number of abandoned two-wheelers, including motorcycles, at the parking lot. He, however, said they are waiting for the local authorities to dispose of the vehicles after intimating the vehicle owners.
A citizen pointed out that the railway station premises have literally become a dumping ground for old and abandoned vehicles, demanding action by the local authorities to rid the station premises of these vehicles.
