Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that the States’ disaster management team was in active mode while the administration has been monitoring the situation on the ground vis-Ã -vis the heavy rains experienced by the State.
“Instructions have been issued to the deputy collectors and the collectors on floods and everyone is monitoring the situation. The disaster management team is in active mode,” Sawant said.
The State has been experiencing heavy downpour for the last two days and the IMD has predicted very heavy rainfall for the next four days.
Several areas have been inundated with water and reports of landslides and tree falls kept pouring in from various parts of the States.
Several roads and bridges have also gone under the water due to intense rainfall in the last 48 hours.
