As heavy rains continued to lash the State on Tuesday, trees came crashing down in several parts of Tiswadi.
The Old Goa fire station received a number of calls which included the fall of a tree on house of Dhananjay Shirvoikar at Goulembhat-Chimbel but no major damage was reported.
A tree also fell on compound wall and across the road at Sao Pedro-Ribandar. The compound wall got demolished in the tree fall causing a loss of around Rs 30,000.
Another tree also fell across the road leading towards Healthway Hospital at Old Goa.
At the time of going to the press, the fire personnel received a call of a tree having fallen on a house at Zuari-Goa Velha where operation was underway to clear the tree.
