Fearing an attack by an MLA, Advocate Aires Rodrigues on Friday met DGP Indradev Shukla and submitted a memorandum seeking to monitor movements of the MLA, whom he has named in a complaint.
In his complaint, Adv. Rodrigues stated he has bonafide reasons and valid apprehensions to believe that the MLA is planning another attack on his life, following the High Court order on December 22 in the infamous 2008 Panaji police station attack case.
Adv. Rodrigues has stated that since the matter of Panaji police station attack was pending since the last 7 years, he has successively pursued the case with the Supreme Court and High Court, with the High Court has now directing that the hearing in the case should commence and be expedited.
Recalling an attack on him on October 13, 2008, Adv. Rodrigues in his complaint has also said that the same MLA had masterminded the grievous attack on him at a city restaurant.
