The Anjuna Comunidade has sent a notice to the organisers of the India Bike Week (IBW) to pay Rs 20 lakh as charges for using additional land for the event without taking prior permission.
The Anjuna Communidade has also warned of necessary action in the event the organisers fail to pay the amount within three weeks.
The organisers had reportedly used extra land belonging to the Communidade and the Gaonkars complained to the Communidade committee and demanded appropriate action against the event managers.
The Comunidade committee then inspected the land, and asked the event organisers to vacate the land, or pay additional charges, in a letter.
The Gaonkars of Anjuna Communidade called for a general meeting to discuss the above issue, and a proposal was passed to charge the event organisers Rs 20 lakh as charges for using additional land for the event without taking prior permission.
