Calangute police have registered an offence against a driver at a resort in Baga on charges of stealing a car and a mobile phone.
Sumeet Jain, owner of Kalki Resort at Baga-Calangute, filed a complaint with Calangute police stating that the accused, Lal Singh Chandana of Rajasthan, who was working in the resort as a driver, had fled away with a car belonging to his cousin and a mobile phone.
While the incident took place on September 3, Calangute police registered the offence on September 20 under Section 381 of Indian Penal code.
Assistant Police Sub Inspector Naresh Kumar Salgaonkar is investigating the case.
