BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanawade on Monday said the BJP is confident of winning elections and would not want to poach any MLAs from Congress.
"We are not taking anyone away. We will get a majority and form a government…We are 100 per cent confident,” said Tanavade, while speaking at a news conference.
He was responding to allegations by Congress leaders that the BJP was trying to poach Congress likely MLAs and had been tapping phones of Congress leaders.
“The Congress has already accepted that they are not getting full majority by levelling allegations of phone tapping. The election is over and results are sealed in the EVMs. In such a situation, talking about phone tapping is just an excuse by the Congress.”
“Congress knows that it cannot form the government and hence, they are playing such blame games. If they really were in a position to form a government, they would not have made such statements,” he said.
