CANACONA
Different parts of Canacona taluka will have Green, Pink, PwD (Persons with Disabilities) and Model polling booths, as 34,195 eligible voters in 59 booths of Canacona constituency will take part in Lok Sabha polls on Tuesday.
Two of the 59 polling booths in Canacona are Green polling booths and both of them are in Gaondogrim village.
The polling booths at Kodewada and Satorli in Gaondongrim village are decorated with green natural resources.
Polling Booth 20 of Delem Polling Station is a PwDs booth, while Polling Booths 7, 13, and 35 are set up as Model Booths in Canacona. Polling Booth 33 at Sadolxem is a Pink booth (Women), according to Canacona Mamlatdar and Assistant Election Returning Officer Jeetendra Bugde.
There are 34,195 eligible voters “ 17,536 female and 16658 male “ in the 59 booths of Canacona constituency polls.
Most voters are located in Canacona Municipality (10,311), followed by Poinguinim (5,842), Loliem-Polem (4,270), Gaondongrim (4,159), Shristhal (3,867), Agonda (3,355) and Cotigao (2,146).
Similarly, most polling booths are located in Canacona Municipality (16), followed by Poinguinim (10), Loliem-Polem (8), Gaondongrim (7), Shristhal (6), Agonda (6) and Cotigao (6).
