Archbishop of Goa and Daman Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão inaugurated a new suite of digital services within the Catholic Connect app to enhance the experience of pilgrims attending the 18th Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St Francis Xavier, set to begin on November 21 in Old Goa.
These services, designed to support and guide pilgrims on their spiritual journey, will also enable global participation through online resources and live-streamed events for those unable to be present in Goa.
Cardinal Ferrão has expressed his happiness over the collaboration between Catholic Connect and the Exposition Committee of Goa.
He remarked, “I am extremely pleased that Catholic Connect will work closely with our Exposition Committee for the Solemn Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St Francis Xavier.”
Fr Henry Falcao, Convenor of the Exposition Committee, also shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Catholic Connect. This app will feature news and details on the Exposition of St Francis Xavier and the committee is particularly glad to work with CCBI, especially with Catholic Connect.”
As preparations for the exposition continue, this digital initiative is expected to significantly enrich the pilgrimage experience for both local attendees and those participating from afar.
