Former minister and Congress leader Aleixo Sequeira on Wednesday said there has to be clarity on the party leadership in the State.
Speaking to reporters at Dabolim airport, Sequeira said the Congress state party president had offered his resignation twice and it should be either rejected or accepted.
“I am of the opinion that the party high command must take a call so that there is clarity on the Congress party leadership in the State once and for all.”
“As far as leadership is concerned, there is no situation where someone is refusing to work with the state party president and there can be differences of opinion, But once there is clarity, all will work together,” said Sequeira.
Sequeira said state party leaders had already met the high command who is aware of the issue and they would provide clarity shortly.
Commenting on party alliances is concerned, he said different parties are in discussion with Congress party high command.
“We are not aware of what discussions are being taken up at that level and we don't want to get involved in those discussions," added Sequeira.
