Curtorim Independent MLA Reginaldo Lourenco has dashed off a letter to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to also provide benefits of Dayanand Social Security Scheme to widows having minor children who were earlier beneficiary of Griha Aadhar Scheme.
In his letter, Reginaldo pointed out that he is in receipt of messages from many widows who were earlier beneficiaries of Griha Aadhar Scheme making a plea to the government for making available the benefits of Dayanand Social Security Scheme too as they are having minor children.In this contest, he reminded the Chief Minister that in reply to his unstarred LAQ No. 006 dated 18/07/2022, the Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phaldessi had stated “The proposal for amendment of Dayanand Social Security Scheme to provide benefits to widows whose children are below the age of 18 years is under consideration of the government.”
