CMC Chairperson Simon Rebello has directed the Municipal Engineer Vinod Kudtarkar to immediately commence pre-monsoon preparation works in all 12 wards of the council, starting with Palolem at one end and Tarir at the other side.
“We should not be found lacking if pre-monsoon rains hits the municipality,” Rebello told the Municipal Engineer Vinod Kudtarkar during the council meeting on Wednesday.
The municipal engineer also told the newly elected councillors that owner's NOC with form I & XIV of the land in question is mandatory if any development works are proposed by the council.
He also informed that an estimate for Rs 1.6 lakh has been prepared to repair the existing fish market.
The councillors also sought to submit the 22 pending files, which according to Municipal Engineer, are pending for want of NOCs.
