North Goa Collector Dr Sneha Gitte on Wednesday directed authorities to take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of the commuters on NH66.
Dr Gitte had gone to inspect the landslides along the highway in the presence of Pernem Deputy Collector Shivprasad Naik, Mamlatdar Ranjit Salgaonkar, and PWD officials.
Pernem Deputy Collector Naik informed Dr Gitte that landslides had occurred three times along the highway and hence, the road had been closed for traffic. Dr Geete directed the authorities to take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of motorists using the NH66.
