The Colva police has booked an offense of rape against a 28-year old man for allegedly raping a minor girl and impregnating her.
The police are on the look out of the accused, Rahul Chandra, who is hailing from outside the state.
The police informed that the accused had been allegedly sexually assaulting the 15-year old girl since January this year.
The incident came to light after the minor girl was found to be pregnant before a complaint was lodged with the police.
Colva police has registered a case under the Goa Children’s Act and under provisions of the POCSO Act. The police is investigating.
