The Directorate of Education in Goa has asked all the institutions affiliated to it to submit information regarding students who have lost one or both parents as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The circular which was issued on June 4 by Director of Education D R Bhagat, has instructed the institutions to compile data on such students and provide it to the department by June 7 via Google form.
Due to the sudden rise in Covid-19 cases recently, many children have been orphaned or have lost either of their parents due to the pandemic.
