Cong leaders want to come into limelight: Lobo

MAPUSA

Ports Minister Michael Lobo said the former Calangute MLA and ex-Calangute sarpanch wanted to be in the limelight as assembly elections were due in a-year-and-a-half and both have joined hands against development.

He said several BJP and Congress aspirants who will be denied tickets by their parties will then cross over to Goa Forward or AAP or any other alternate party.

“I feel Agnelo is looking for an alternative because Congress will not give him the ticket. I heard that he’s not in the list for the ticket. So, he is doing this to remain alive,” Lobo said reacting to the Congress leaders' charges against him.

He said Agnelo and Joseph have lost power as they were not even panch members and people had rejected them.

“People will not look at them. If Calangute people do not want Micheal they may elect a third person but not these two. People have seen them for the last 20 years. They have done nothing for the people. They have only looked after their interest,” he said.
