The Colva police on Monday stopped a bullfight from taking place at Colva after the intervention of the district police chief, SP Tikam Singh.
Sources in the know said a large crowd of dhirio lovers had assembled at Colva on Monday evening to witness the bullfight. However, acting on information, the Superintendent of Police, South Tikam Singh, told the police to intervene and stop the bullfight.
On seeing the police team, people dispersed from the spot. The police said no FIR has been lodged since the bullfight did not take place.
