CANACONA
With 13 new cases detected on Tuesday, the number of Covid active cases has risen to 148 in Canacona taluka.
The Canacona Community Health Centre (CHC) conducted around 72 antigen tests on people with symptoms such as bodyache, cough, fever, as well as those who came in contact with Covid positive people, and 13 tested positive, including a 20-year-old traveller from Sindhudurg.
Other cases were detected in Loliem, Bhatpal, Gaondongrim, Talpona, Sadolxem, Patnem, Chaudi, Poinguinim and Palolem.
Canacona CHC Health Officer Dr Jose Tavares appealed to people to stay at home, self quarantine for a few days and if having any symptoms, to get themselves tested for Covid. He also called on people above 45 years to get vacinnated at the Community Health Centre.
