Crime Branch of Goa Police has apprehended one person with five kg suspected ganja in Mapusa.
On the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, a team of the Crime Branch led by PI Satish Gaude and PI Laxi Amonkar apprehended accused Brijesh Kumar of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh with five kg ganja in Mapusa. The estimated worth of the narcotic substance seized is around Rs five lakhs in the international market.
The accused has revealed that he got the ganja for sale in Goa during the upcoming tourist season.
