Crime Branch busts prostitution racket at Colva

Crime Branch of Goa Police busted a prostitution racket in Colva, wherein a massage parlour was being operated as a front. Five women were rescued and two persons were arrested by the police. 

Aayur Saloon and Ayurvedic Massage at Colva was raided after the Crime Branch received inputs about prostitution activities being conducted there. 

Accused persons namely Suraj alias Samarodh Sharma (32) and Santosh Sonavane (32) of Thane, Maharashtra were arrested for living on the earnings of prostitution business.

The raid was conducted by PI Laxi Amonkar with the assistance of PI Satish Gawade and personnel of Margao Town Police Station.

The accused persons have been remanded to five days police custody. Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of DySP Crime Sunita Sawant and the Superintendent of Police Crime Branch Shobit Saxena.

Rs 1.75 crore collected from North Goa for Ram Mandir

MAPUSAThe Shriram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Nyas Goa head Ratnakar Lele on Monday said Rs 1.75 crore have been collected so far for the Ram temple from North Goa alone.“Public response to this collection drive has been tremendous.
