'Delilah will not contest in Siolim if Paliencar has done good work’

MAPUSA

Refusing to respond to allegations made by former WRD minister and Siolim MLA Vinoda Paliencar, Ports Minister, Michael Lobo said that his wife would withdraw from the race in Siolim if the people told her to do so.
“He (Paliencar) is our colleague. I do not want to speak against him. Sometime back he had said that Michael Lobo helped him to get elected,” Lobo said.
He said if Paliencar has done good work in the constituency then people will re-elect him and his wife would withdraw from the fray but people will have to tell her that they will vote for Paliencar.
“If Paliencar has done good work my wife will not contest from there. She will reconsider from contesting. If nobody is talking about him, then she will contest,” Lobo said.
The Siolim MLA had on Sunday alleged that a minister from Bardez was lording over the drug trade in Siolim and the coastal belt and urged the CM to take action against him.
