A reputed name among homoeopathic doctors, Dr Jyotshna Nayak, a specialist known to offer holistic treatment for a wide range of ailments and diseases, joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday, ahead of the state assembly elections.
Nayak has also been the founder of the Women Cricket Association of Goa, under the leadership of former CM late Shashikala Kakodkar. She has been running the association as a founding member until it was taken under BCCI. She is also the founder of Giants Club and Giants Saheli Club, stated a press release.
After joining the AAP Dr Nayak said, "Politics as such is not new to me. I was passionately following every political subject. Till date, I have used my political contacts for the betterment of society in my way. Although, I never considered joining any party or to become an active member of politics; as word 'politics' has a negative connotation".
She further said, "I have been observing AAP leaders work in Delhi and the state. I am very impressed by AAP's agenda. They are providing free quality education and free medical aid in Mohalla clinics of Delhi. AAP believes in honesty and transparency in governance. That's why I joined the Party".
