A 68-year-old farmer from Kotkarwada in Pernem was killed when a hand tractor accidentally ran over him on Tuesday.
The incident took place when Ulhas Kotkar was at work in his field. While at work, the hand tractor fell on him and he sustained grievous injuries. He was shifted to the Pernem health centre, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The body was sent for an autopsy at the GMC hospital at Bambolim and later handed over to family members for final rites.
PSI Tukaram Chodankar conducted the investigation under the guidance of Pernem Police Inspector Sachin Lokre.
