Fire station gets 100 calls in 2 days

OLD GOA

The Old Goa fire station received a whopping 100 calls on Sunday and Monday ever since Cyclone Tauktae hit the State.

“We received 100 calls in the two days and it was counting,” said a source at the fire station.

While it was not immediately known how many calls had been attended to by the fire services, the source said they have been able to clear majority of the calls in areas like Divar, Goa Velha, Agassaim and Azossim-Mandur.

“We will continue to attend to the remaining calls on Tuesday,” the source added.
