Gated complexes should not have tourism activities: Cota

PANAJI

Cota also demanded that travel agents should sign contracts with legal hotels only.

“Only 8 villas are registered with the government and 400 villas are illegal operating without license. As far as flats are concerned, there is zero registration and 100 percent illegal business.”

Cota said taxi aggregators like OLA and Uber should not be given permission in Goa.

“Instead, the government should promote local taxi operators to form and manage their own app. OLA or Uber taxis may lead to job losses among local taxi drivers. There should be priority to Goans in terms of employment,” Cotta said.
