Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho on Thursday lauded the directorate of panchayats and the State Election Commission (SEC) for having provided the OBC reservation for the upcoming Panchayat elections.
Godinho was speaking to reporters at the Goa airport after welcoming the NDA Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu who had arrived on a day-long visit to the State.
"All's well that ends well and it will end well when elections are over. We have systematically given the people the OBC reservation. The only thing was we had to do it in a rushed manner and despite that, I must compliment my directorate of panchayats and the SEC for having done a wonderful job," said Godinho.
