PANAJI: Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states will convene in Delhi on Feb 20 for a key meeting, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has confirmed his participation in the meeting and will also attend the swearing-in ceremony of Delhi’s new Chief Minister.
"I will be attending the NDA CMs’ meeting in New Delhi tomorrow, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, and will also be present for the swearing-in of the new Delhi Chief Minister," Sawant said.
Meanwhile, the BJP has appointed former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and party national secretary Om Prakash Dhankar as observers to oversee the appointment of the new Delhi Chief Minister.
The BJP’s legislature party, comprising 48 MLAs, will meet today at 7 pm to finalize the Chief Minister and six cabinet ministers, who are expected to take the oath tomorrow at 11 am, at the historic Ramlila Maidan. The official confirmation of the timing is awaited, and the distribution of ministerial portfolios will be decided later.
