Goa Velha woman arrested in infant kidnapping case

The Margao police have arrested Natalina Almeida, a resident of Goa Velha, in connection with a complaint filed by a woman alleging that her two-month-old daughter has been kidnapped from her lawful custody.

Margao police stated that the complainant, Ashwini Waghmare, aged 35, residing opposite the Railway Protection Force Station, on the footpath outside Konkan Railway Station, and originally from Maharashtra, reported that a 50-year-old woman kidnapped her two-month-old daughter.

The police have registered an offence under section 363 of the IPC and Section 8(4) of The Goa Children Act of 2003. Further investigations are underway.
