The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on Monday convened 11 Departmental Promotion Committee meetings and has recommended promotions to officers in various departments.
One officer was promoted to the post of Employment Counseling Officer in Labour department, while two were promoted to the position of Assistant Directors of Transport in the Transport Department.
In the Directorate of Health Services, the DPC recommended that two health officers be promoted to the position of Chief Medical Officer while five medical officers have been promoted to Health Officers.
In the education department, the Commission through the DPC recommended that sixteen officers be promoted to the position of Vice-principal, Teachers Training College/head masters government high school/ vice principal government higher secondary schools.
The Commission has also recommended the promotion of one officer to the position of Assistant Director of Sports in Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The commission also lifted the probation of a total of ten officers in the Transport Department, Goa Medical College, Directorate of Health Services and the Personnel Department.
