The Rachol gram sabha on Sunday has resolved to ask the government to transfer the Tribal Sub Plan funds to all the tribal dominated panchayats to take up development work directly at panchayat level of the respective departments.
At the gram sabha chaired by Sarpanch Joseph Vaz, the gram sabha further resolved to write to the Directorate of panchayats to increase the salary/ allowances of panchayats members and release the same in time.
The meeting also resolved to write to director of panchayat to release the match grants, grants for weaker panchayats to meet staffs salary and administration expenditures.
The meeting also resolved to write to director of panchayats and Tribal departments to ask PWD to expedite the ongoing construction work of community cum administrative building under tribal fund at Rachol. The meeting also resolved to write to PWD to take up the construction of ring road at Ilha de Rachol immediately which is pending forlong time, it again proposed to sent the proposal to PWD yea any other departments to take up the said work immediately.
