Chief Minister Pramod Sawant disclosed that the government will now start declaring areas where Covid clusters exist as micro-containment zones. The supply of essential commodities and services within these zones will remain unaffected.
He said, “We will base these decisions on the report titled ‘Emerging hotspots for Goa’ prepared by the Department of Preventive Social Medicines of Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.”
According to it, the coastal belt has major hotspots and containment zones will be planned accordingly, he added.
