In another set of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings, the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on Monday recommended the promotion of around 16 officers in various departments.
The Commission, under its Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha, has held close to 100 DPCs since January 2023 till date. In its last meeting on June 28, the GPSC considered around 30 promotions across different departments through 10 DPC meetings.
On Monday, of the 10 promotions, three officials are promoted to the position of Town Planner in the Department of Town and Country Planning while three others in Goa Police are promoted as Police Sub Inspectors (radio mechanic).
One official is promoted to Principal in Captain of the Ports Department while nine officers are elevated to the rank of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the Water Resources Department. In addition to this, the GPSC lifted the probation period of the Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Goa Gazetteer, and also that of the Block Development Officer in the Personnel Department, Tutor in the Department Of Nephrology In Goa Medical College besides Medical Officers in Department of Health.
The DPC meeting was also attended by its members consisting of the Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretary, as per the recruitment rules in vogue.
