Jewellery and cash worth Rs 14.76 lakh were burgled from a house in Marna-Siolim in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to Anjuna police, burglars cut a window grill on the first floor and entered the house sometime between 12.30 am and 6.30 am, while the family were asleep in the house.
The burglars stole jewellery worth Rs 11.61 lakh and cash of Rs 3.15 lakh from the cupboard.
The burglary came to light when family members woke up in the morning. Acting on a complaint lodged by Sarthak Rajeshkumar Gupta, Anjuna police registered an offence under Section 380 and 457 IPC and further investigations are in progress.
