Pernem police arrested a native of Jammu and Kashmir on charges of possessing drugs, after raiding a shack at Arambol late Wednesday night.
According to Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi, police received information that a worker at a shack in Arambol was involved in illegal drug activities.
A police team led by PSI Sanjit Kandolkar and under the supervision of PI Dalvi conducted the raid late Wednesday night and nabbed Faisal Ahmed (25) of Baramulla, J&K in possession of charas worth Rs 5,000.
An offence under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is in progress.
