Jobs-for-cash scam: Bicholim Police arrest Sattari man

BICHOLIM
Bicholim Police have registered a case against a man from Sattari on charges of duping some persons to the tune of Rs 21.5 lakh on the pretext of providing them government jobs.

According to Bicholim SDPO Jivba Dalvi, a complaint was lodged by Sheetal Sawal of Mauliguem-Bicholim accusing Manikrao Rane of Rawan in Keri-Sattari of cheating her and her neighbours to the tune of Rs 21.5 lakh on the pretext of providing government jobs.

Bicholim Police later arrested Rane and he has been remanded to five days in custody. Further investigation is in progress by PSI Viraj Dhauskar, under the supervision of Bicholim PI Dinesh Gadekar, Bicholim SDPO Jivba Dalvi and under the overall supervision of North SP Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
