The 10th TAG Competition of Fells/Khells (Zomnivoile Khell) was held at Goa Kala Academy’s Open Air Amphitheatre, Panaji from February 20 to February 22. Eight troupes participated in this competition. This Competition received a good response from the tiatr lovers.
The Khells which bagged prizes at this 3-day competition were:
1st Prize “ “Timepass” by Jose Roman Fernandes; 2nd Prize “ “Tumche Upkar” by Luis Xavier Mascarenhas (Xavier de Maina) and 3rd Prize “ “Raza Rani Gulam” Caitano F Fernandes (Caje de Curtorim).
This year TAG included more 6 prizes: Best Actor Female was bagged by Sonia Travasso in Tuji Bail; Best Actor Male was won by Rockman Fernandes in Tumi Sagat; Best Comedian was won by Agnelo Rebello in Tuji Bail; Best Music Director was bagged by Rogery Fernandes in Tumche Upakar; Best Script Writer was won by Vera Baretto in Chit Munxea and Best Director was bagged by Jose Fernandes in Timepass.
Well known veteran tiatr personalities Osvi SCL Viegas and Michael Silva were the judges for the competition.
On the last day, prominent personality Lawry Travasso was the chief guest and Pravin Barad, Member Secretary, Kala Academy Goa was the guest of honour for the function.
Also present were President of TAG Menino Fernandes and Vice President Mario Menezes. The judges and the guests gave away the prizes and certificates to the winners. Cezar D’Mello, Member Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Meleeta Rodrigues coordinated in organizing this competition.
