The viral video showing the violent assault on a local in the presence of police constables makes one wonder whether there is any law in Goa.
The DySP says the constables acted promptly to stop the assault and arrest the perpetrators. But in the video one can see the constables just watching the drama.
There must be more accountability from the IPS heads. If the constables cannot do their duty it would be better if they are transferred to desk jobs.
The trend in India is to ‘speak away problems and errors’. Once an excuse is given, that is enough. When PM Modi first took charge, the petrol prices in the international market dropped and he said to consider it as his good luck! Today, with the highest prices in India mainly due to taxes, he says it is because of the Congress!
Our Pramod Sawant government says the three linear projects are needed for the future of Goa despite opposition to them.
Everybody at all levels are now just giving excuses and ‘speak away problems and offences’. This does not augur well for the country and the State.
