Where there’s a wheel, there’s a way and Kunal Thakur drew widespread praise on Thursday for proceeding in his wheelchair to file his nomination for elections to Ward 7 in Arambol panchayat.
Kunal (21) a fourth-year student of Law and a social worker for the past five years, said his Ward 7 has been underdeveloped.
“If I am elected panch member, I would take initiatives to implement various schemes for the people, and ensure that his ward gets all the infrastructure facilities,” assured Kunal.
Despite being differently-abled since birth, Kunal has participated in various social activities and has helped people in his locality. His social work has been widely appreciated by people, with many claiming that he is a role model for the entire taluka.
Kunal is keen to complete his law studies and aspires to become a judge someday.
