Land grab: SIT effects 5th arrest

The Special Investigation Team probing the alleged land grabbing scam nabbed a fifth member of the gang, who was arrested in Kerala.

Altaf C A (31) has been arrested on charges of grabbing lands with fraudulent means. SIT had earlier arrested two members of the gang, Shetty and Sohail besides two employees of Archaeology dept.

The suspect, Altaf, was reportedly working as technical assistant to Mohammad Suhail Shafi, one of the main suspects in the land grab scam.

A team comprising PSI Girish Padloskar, Constables Irshad Watangi and Mahabaleshwar Sawant with the help of the local police in Kerala, nabbed the suspect.
